Business Systems Analyst
Description

We are looking for a Business Systems Analyst with strong experience in the US Mortgage industry (especially mortgage origination) and Scrum Master responsibilities. 

This role involves analysing current business processes, identifying improvement areas, and working closely with technical teams to implement solutions. The candidate will also play a key role in Agile delivery, stakeholder communication, and process optimization. 

Responsibilities
  • Business Analysis & Process Improvement Understand current business processes and systems, conduct process analysis (time studies, workshops, focus groups), Identify gaps and recommend improvements or automation  
  • Solution Design & Implementation, Work with development teams to design and implement solutions, Support testing, deployment, and maintenance of applications, help streamline and automate workflows  
  • Project Planning & Execution, define project goals and roadmap, identify risks and create mitigation strategies, Track progress and ensure milestone achievement  
  • Agile & Scrum Activities, Act as a Scrum Master when required, Facilitate Agile ceremonies and team coordination, Ensure smooth communication between teams  
  • Testing & Deployment, Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Work with deployment teams for successful releases  
  • Training & Documentation, create training materials and process documentation, conduct training sessions for business users, Ensure smooth transition of processes back to business teams  
  • Stakeholder Communication, Provide regular updates to senior management, Act as point of contact for escalations  
  • Collaborate across multiple business units 
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of Business Analyst experience  
  • Strong experience in US Mortgage industry (Mortgage Origination is a must)  
  • Hands-on experience working as a Scrum Master  
  • Strong skills in business process analysis and problem-solving  
  • Experience with Jira or Microsoft VSTS (Azure DevOps)  
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.)  
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills  
  • Experience in documentation, process modelling, and requirement gathering
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Business, or related field
  • Equivalent work experience is acceptable
