We are seeking an experienced MicroStrategy Administrator to support and maintain enterprise-level MicroStrategy environments within a modernized data analytics ecosystem. The ideal candidate will be responsible for platform administration, report development, migration activities, and supporting the transition from Business Objects to MicroStrategy. This role requires strong technical expertise in MicroStrategy architecture, data mart support, and analytics platform operations.
- Administer and support MicroStrategy components including: MicroStrategy Server, MicroStrategy Desktop and Architect Client
- Support and manage the transition from Business Objects to MicroStrategy (MSTR).
- Perform migration of current data platforms to a modernized data analytics environment.
- Maintain and update existing MicroStrategy scripts used for platform management.
- Provide support for MicroStrategy-based: Data marts, ETL processes, Semantic layer enhancements and Report design changes.
- Perform operational support for MicroStrategy processes, universes, reports, and related BI tools.
- Troubleshoot performance issues and ensure system availability and reliability.
- Translate written business and technical documentation into meaningful dashboards, reports, and visualizations using MicroStrategy.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security within the reporting environment.
- 5+ years of experience as a MicroStrategy Administrator or Developer.
- Strong hands-on experience with MicroStrategy Server administration.
- Experience supporting MicroStrategy Desktop and Architect.
- Experience with migration from Business Objects to MicroStrategy.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and semantic layers.
- Experience maintaining and troubleshooting MicroStrategy scripts.
- Strong knowledge of report and dashboard development in MicroStrategy.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Must be eligible for GSA Clearance (USC/GC).
- Experience working in Federal/Government environments.
- Familiarity with modern data platforms (AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks).
- Experience with performance tuning and system optimization.
- Knowledge of other BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Experience with automation and scripting (Shell, Python, etc.).
- MicroStrategy certifications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in MicroStrategy or Data Analytics are a plus.
