Product Owner / Business Analyst
Description

We are looking for a Product Owner / Business Analyst with strong experience in the banking or financial domain (preferably payments). 

This role involves managing the end-to-end product lifecycle, working closely with cross-functional teams, gathering requirements, and delivering high-quality product features in an Agile environment. The candidate should be able to bridge business and technical teams while driving product strategy and execution. 

Responsibilities
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Manage product lifecycle from ideation to post-launch, define product strategy aligned with business goals and Deliver products within timeline and budget  
  • Stakeholder Collaboration :Act as a liaison between business, engineering, QA, UX/UI, and sales teams , Conduct meetings to define product vision and priorities , Align teams on roadmap and OKRs  
  • Requirements Gathering & Documentation: Gather functional, technical, and non-functional requirements (NFRs), Create User Stories and Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Define workflows, business rules, and system integrations  
  • Agile Delivery :Work in Agile/Scrum environment: Track progress using velocity and burndown charts and Coordinate with teams for smooth feature delivery  
  • Process Improvement & Analysis: Analyse current (As-Is) and future (To-Be) processes, perform gap analysis and identify improvement areas, Design prototypes and document pain points  
  • Product Development Support: Collaborate with Product Managers and Architects for feature design, validate use cases and ensure quality releases and publish release notes and documentation  
  • Training & Documentation: Create user guides, best practices, and training materials and support knowledge transfer to stakeholders 
Qualifications
  • 8–10 years of experience in banking or financial industry  
  • Experience working as a Product Owner or Business Analyst  
  • Strong experience in Agile/Scrum and Lean methodologies  
  • Ability to create user stories, BRDs, and workflows  
  • Strong technical understanding and ability to work with engineering teams  
  • Experience managing product lifecycle and delivering products  
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills  
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills  
  • Ability to work onsite in Chicago 
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in business, IT, Finance, or related field  
  • Equivalent experience is acceptable
